My Favorites

I’m bored, I’m going to make a list of some of the websites that I have bookmarked on my computer. It’ll give you a little insight into my head. I don’t know if this is how many most people have. There’s about 20 more that I got too bored to put on because it was taking forever to load and I wanted to check that each site was still up. Here ya go… – This is the first website in my bookmarks. I think this was when I first got my laptop and was trying to find a background for it because it is a site for desktop backgrounds. – This is just a song from one of the “Fast and Furious” movies that I liked. Apparently enough to bookmark it at the time. – When I was going to try to get into MMA I guess I saved this. I’d still like to do it but don’t have the time or money to train for it so it’ll just be a dream for now. – Seriously, who doesn’t want to be able to pick locks? For my days when I become an international spy. – Just a site that shows cool stuff. – Because cats are funny and it takes the mystery out of guessing what they are thinking. – Same thing, with dogs. – A site with “fail’s”

(Side note: my computer is going so slow right now and it’s making me very frustrated.) – A guy doing some crazy driving in one of my favorite cars. – Like I need more reasons… – No man room can be complete without one. – Just some interesting facts about the world… Don’t know how accurate it is but still kind of cool. – Some hipster skateboarding. – God only knows why I bookmarked this… – How embarassing… – Useful tool, Dexter Jackson, and a good song. – Learning to rock climb.

Michigan = WINNING

I haven’t really done anything with the 250 challenge in a while so I decided to take a look at it to see if there were any good topics. One that would go perfect with what is happening now is: “How are sports doing in this city?” Well sports here are doing amazing!

Let’s start with the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers just won the series clinching game against the New York Yankees last night. Not only did they win the best of 5 but they did it in New York! It was a close series coming down to the last inning of the last game but they pulled it off. ALDS Champs!

We’ll move to the next big team in Michigan right now, Michigan Wolverines. The Wolverines are usually a good team but the last few years have been a little average. It’s still early in the season but they are currently at an undefeated record of 5-0! They’ve only had 1 Big Ten game so far and their schedule is getting harder as the season goes on but right now they are HOT! If they can work on their defense they will be a team that can compete with anyone, especially with one of the most exciting players in NCAA Football right now, Denard Robinson.

The biggest shocker of the year is the Detroit Lions. The Lions have consistently been the worst football team in the NFL for the last… what seems like forever. But something happened this year and although everyone is still hesitant about jumping on the bandwagon, the Lions are 4-0! The Detroit Lions, the first NFL team to go 0-16 is undefeated after the first 4 games of the season! They were not small wins either, the last 2 games the Lions trailed by 20 at halftime and somehow managed comebacks in both games!

MSU is doing pretty decently sitting at 4-1 with 4 tough games(Michigan, Wisconsin, Nebraska) ahead of them. EMU is at 3-2 and WMU is at 4-2.

So I guess you could say that, at least in sports, Michigan is WINNING!

Food for the Soul

foodEverybody has their “staple” foods. Foods that you just simply can’t live without. It can be anything from an 18 oz steak to rainbow colored Skittles. They help get you through stressful days and are always there when you can’t think of what to eat. Whether it was something you grew up eating and couldn’t imagine it being gone or something you just tried and fell in love with. This is a little sample of some of my food addictions…

1. Cinnamon French Toast – I figured I would start the list with the most amazing food that has ever touched a human mouth!  This is God’s gift to the world. I have been eating C.F.T. for as long as I can remember and have yet to get sick of it. If I am ever in the situation where I can chose any meal to eat this is the go-to atleast 90% of the time. If I met the person that invented this I would kiss them on the mouth without second guessing it.

2. Chinese Buffet – I know this is kind of a broad food group but it has to be grouped as a whole. A simple Chinese meal would not make this list but having an unlimited choice of any type of Chinese is one of the greatest choices a person can have to make. My trip to the buffet usually consists of 2-4 plates with crab rangoon, General’s chicken, honey chicken, chicken on a stick, and rice. Not only do you get to eat such wonderful delicacies but the pickier eater also has the option of pizza, macaroni and cheese, and chicken nuggets. Although the service is usually sub-par this is a must have.

3. Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich – One of the most common and most basic meals you can eat. I have eaten one of these almost everyday since I was 8 and I still love them as much as I did on day 1, if not more. They are quick and easy to make and always taste delicious. The options are also interchangeable, you can put grape or strawberry jelly depending on your mood and if you’re a little adventurous you can add honey. I have once eaten a sandwich with peanut butter, jelly, honey, bananas, and mustard. The possibilities are truly endless.

4. Chocolate Milk – This is another one that I have been having since I can remember. Although my flavor preferences have changed, my love for this treat have not. My phases were as followed: Hershey syrup in my younger years, Nesquick soon followed, and I am currently on the store bought chocolate milk by the gallon. If in a bind I will drink Ovaltine but it is always second choice.

This list could go on longer than socially acceptable so I will leave it as is. If you run into me sometime in the future and want to make my day, you now know some ways to do it. 🙂

Hollywood Lights

I am exhausted! Being famous is hard-work. Busy week ahead of me too. First I have to get my hand prints on Hollywood Blvd and the the next day I have to get out to the SAG Awards, I was nominated for a few. Most important was “Best Fight Spectator Impersonator of the Year: For men”. I’m basically a shoe in so I’m not worried about the competition. We just finished up shooting my new movie and I must say, Matthew Fox(or as I call him, Mattdawg) is such a little diva! My boy Tyler Perry couldn’t make it today which was unfortunate. I really like doing work with him. Well I got to get back to work, I got practice my lines for my audition in 2 weeks. I’m going for the lead role next to Angelina Jolie.

Dead Eye

So a thought that has come through my head on many occasions is “what era I belong to?” Every time the thought comes up, it’s always the same era that pops into my head. This time frame might come as a shock but I know I was meant to be a “Cowboy”. Not a live on the farm and do lame things cowboy either. A hustlin, rustlin cowboy. A cowboy that lives a life of action! Robbing banks and trains! The face on every wanted poster kind of cowboy. I don’t like rules, I don’t like having my own boss. What better fit for me then being a cowboy. I haven’t had a lot of experience with horses but if it came down to it I would ride a black stallion into the sunset without second guessing it! The fact that I work a cowboy hat and spurs like it’s going out of style is just a little bit of a bonus. I’d definitely have one of those cool cowboy nicknames too, Ryan “Dead Eye” Nelson. Everyone east of the Mississippi would know and respect the name. John Wayne would be begging to play me in a movie. Ah, I can just imagine it now…

But, instead here I am: Ryan Nelson, your average 22 year old growing up in the suburbs. My life is going in a complete different direction then if I were a Outlaw. I can’t complain though, I have a great girl, family, and son(dog).

It’s as easy as ABC

After today I will know if I have the job with the Marines that would save me right now.

Before I go to sleep tonight I will brush my teeth and drink some skim milk. 🙂

Cutting my hair is one of my least favorite things to do.

Drinking should definitely be done in moderation, or you will end up with a random pile of collected objects.

Eating chicken pot pie tonight was delicious! Thank you V!

Frank is the name of the dog of my new friend Amanda. Who is the most coolest/awesomest person ever! She just sent me and V a surprise for our anniversary, it was a framed picture of the 2 of us she had taken the last time she was here. 🙂

Going to bed is going to be spectacular, in about 30 minutes.

Howell is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be, on the other hand it’s not the best place either.

I am absolutely head over heels in love with an amazing girl named Veronica.

J is the letter that both of my brothers names start with.

Killing animals is not cool!

Louis is the cutest, sweetest, cuddliest, and most annoying dog in the world.

Money can buy you anything, including happiness.

Nelson would be the name on the back of a jersey, if I were somebody that played a sport.

On my way home tonight I almost ran over 2 big frogs. There was a good chance I hit one but I’m hoping I didn’t.

Prison is somewhere I hope to never end up.

Queen is a pretty sick group.

Ryan is my name!

Sitting on the couch is where I type this blog.

The zombie apocalypse is going to be exciting, hopefully I get to witness it.

Uranus is hands down the funniest named planet

V is the first letter of the names of my mom and girlfriend.

Winters suck and if global warming were to end them all I wouldn’t shed a tear.

Xylophone is the only word that comes to mind right now.

Yippity skip for this thing almost being done!

Zoos are one of the most fun places to visit!
